Camp sites

The enquiry was for a family camping site. I always use a campervan and maybeI 'm just too law abiding, but it seems a bad idea to encourage anyone to camp out in car parks. It is dangerous - especially with kids and do we really need more vehicles cluttering up ancient sites?

That's a bit reactionary! The conversation is free to expand into a general discussion about camping, surely? And parking in a carpark can hardly be described as cluttering up an ancient site. Camping or no camping, the car park's still there!

The bit at the top of the main car park is a little detached from the car park itself - it's a little grassy area with at least one table-bench; the village and public loos are just a few minuets' walk away down the footpath. The car park is now locked overnight so whoever does the locking would be on the lookout for cars still in the car park at shut out time (and any tents in the little grassy area). Guess it's not such a good idea to camp there after all if you're with family but it might be an option if you're desperate.
