If it wasn't natural it would have been noted a such .As for the timing, Salopian noon occurs at exactly 0.00 Elephants I suppose. Someone needs to go up there and check that.
There is a case of a Northumbrian man made drilled stone , Simonside ? that has a solstice or equinox associated light show . No date for the drilling though .
