When I saw them in the museum in Oxford they weren't prominently displayed - just lurking in a case behind the mammoths or something. I just happened to look at the case casually and was really surprised to discover what I was looking at. At least they should get pride of place in the exhibition when they go to Wales.
I hope the "pride of place" in the exhibition is better than the recent Death in Wales exhibition. We went down to it, expecting it to be a fairly comprehensive portrayal, focusing on the 5 or 6 burial chambers featured in their literature.Hmm. It was one room, with some pretty pictures, and a reconstucted face-thing. We were so disappointed with it - good job we went upstairs and looked round the museum proper, which had the carved stone from Bryn Celli Ddu amongst other exhibits.
Should have spent another day looking round Pembrokeshire instead!
