The future's shite, the future's Timeshare. I can see it now - a big ex-quarry hole filled with water, stocked with fish, jetties on the shoreline and pine lodges with gas-fired bbqs and plastic people. One days free windsurfing lesson, plus an hours free fishing license with every lodge. And to cap it all, a BMX circuit for the brats, with guess what - lots of banks and ditches.

Worsestill, this could be a relatively positive outcome. It could end up like some of the half-cocked attempts at restoration you see up on the Northumberland coastal plain. Where the water drains off in the summer, floods in the winer, and the 'attractions' never take off, so end up as windswept white elephants.
