Field it is

Nice link FourWinds! Thanks
I've been trying to work out "Allerton" recently, as there one near Thornborough, but also one in Liverpool, my old home town.

Field it is in Celtic.... but in my A/S Sweet reader it says for instance,
maegan - cyning =mighty king.
maegden = virgin, child
maegan = strength, capacity
maegp = tribe, nation
so what does that mean, heaven forbid that I should argue which comes first, but both maes knoll and maesbury are on high ground.. it seems that the celtic and the saxon clash in this part of the world.
thanks for the link, will print it out..
