I think we should work on a press release for HA, that uses both examples to show how English Heritage are unable to protect our heritage. We should send it to all agencies on Thursday Night and as you say, have a copy of it on the website.
English Heritage - up to the job?
Heritage Action, a campaign group with a remit for the preservation of ancient sites under threat today fired a blistering attack on English Heritage's record with respect to heritage conservation.
"We are losing some of the most significant ancient sites in Britain yet all English Heritage can do is look at it's navel" said Nigel Swift of Heritage Action. "Silbury Hill is collapsing, the heritage landscape of the Thornborough Henges is being destroyed, English Heritages window dressing with regards to both of these sites is shameful of an organisation responsible for proteccting these nationally important monuments".
Heritage Action has been set up to as a response to apparent poor performance by English Heritage "we intend to make sure they act on all their responsibilities" Said Nigel "Not just those that give good press".
Then from this have a briefing link for both sites.
