All we can do is keep plugging at em. The long term strategy will win against short term business needs.

The online petition is up to 316. The offline petition is at something like 600. In the local comunities something like 95% of the households have signed. I know that this is not on it's own going to save the henges but it's starting to get scary numbers for the politicians. In the last week, something like 100 people asked to join Friends of Thornborough.

These are not our only activities I've started trying to write a Thornborough comic strip, a manga style expose of corruption of evil that shows a continuity of practice that extends over 4,000 years! If only I could illustrate. Still, I'm sure we will have someone in our ranks who can lend a hand.

The way I look at it is this - In the last two months, some 1,000 plus people have taken a personal interst in these monuments, on top of that, around 10,000 people have not just heard of them for the first time, they have heard of them a few times. Arouind 600 households have had a door step visit by a representative of Friends of Thornborough who has explained the situation in detail. Think about what we can achieve in the next two months!

In three month's time we will have a national TV programme on the henges.

By my reckoning that gives me six months to turn these into cult status items. One way or another I intend to do this.

Failure is not an option.

F**kin' hell Brigantes - that one had fire in it's pants!!! In an understated but 'steely' way, one of the most eloquent and impassioned things I've seen in a while.

Beautifully put!

How can the world at large be instilled with a sense that these things are on par with Stonehenge? Whilst affectionados and locals will understand this, the absence of large rocks may put Joe Public off. Some way of connecting Thornborough with something considered glamorous by today's standards might be useful.

Or am I just a cynical owld gyet?
