Sorry about the rushed typing. I meant to say also that that small pool of water on the stone is reflecting sunlight through the drop on the camera lense, hence the light misty feel.

It does look that way. If you turn the portrait one on its side the 'blob' is in the same plave on both photos. In the first one the sunlight is shining off the water in one of the depressions in the stone through the 'blob' and making it glow.
