Thanks Goff.

You'll have a wonderful time, Goff, it's a magical place but two weeks could feel like a long time on Orkney. The weather's ghastly and unless you like looking at a lot of insignificant bumps in the ground, we exhausted the all the major and many of the minor sites in a week. Will one of your weeks be spent getting up there? cos there's some cracking stuff enroute.

Pretty much, yes - we're going back to the original plan of (roughly - I'm not THAT anal!):
2 days in the Lake District
1 day at Loch Lomond
1 day at Loch Ness
6 days at Orkney
1 day in Aviemore
2 days in Edinburgh
1 day in Newcastle
3 weeks getting back to normal
4 months wanting to move up there
