All being well Clava Cairn will appear shortly as a site type. Then the Clava Cairns group under 'Caithness, Inverness & Elsewhere' will disappear and all the contained sites will become Clava Cairns under 'Caithness, Inverness & Elsewhere'.

Next quetsion is are all the sites actually in 'Caithness, Inverness & Elsewhere' or is there some moving about to be done?

Thanks

TMA Ed

Thanks for that.

The following sites under Caithness, Inverness & Elsewhere would become Clava Cairns.

Avielochan, Aviemore, Bruiach, Carn Irenan, Carn Daley, Clava Cairns (possibly renamed as Balnuaran of Clava to distinguish the site name from the site type?), Daviot (also posted as Mains of Daviot), Druidtemple, Kinchyle of Dores, Mains of Clava NW, Mains of Clava SE, Gask (also posted as Mains of Gask), Corrimony, Croftcroy, Culburnie, Culloden, Dalcross Mains, Delfour, Granish, Miltown of Clava.

Also, two sites under Aberdeenshire (they're actually in Banffshire) are Clava Cairns – Upper Lagmore and Marionburgh.

That's 25 Clavas – 11 passage graves, 9 ring cairns, and 5 which cannot be determined.
