Wasn't that the possible finds made by Graham Mullan and Linda Wilson at Aveline's Hole in 2003 as eyt unconfirmed . There were others at Long Hole but they were even more unlikely .

Probably so but its too far back, they were really vertical scratch marks, perhaps something like in the Banks Tomb, but only about half a dozen lines...

edit; forgot to add, that some lines on the Banks tomb stones, are supposed to have been made recently when they were removed according to the archaeologists, other lines could be put down to over-enthusiastic trowelling...
