No, I think there's a difference. Messing with hill figures - whose essence is aesthetics - is worse as it trivialises or disrespects far more. Think of Big Brother, Trinny and Susannah, Paddy Power and (repeatedly) the Countryside ruddy Alliance.

Also, "using" is one thing, faux graffitising is another.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that Nige. Bringing shed loads of TV equipment onto a site (as they do) is a whole different ball game to carefully placing grass seed trays on the turf IMO.
