I have some jealousy for the world opening up in front of you, I remember how exciting those first sites are!

But like postie, lack of access has rarely been an issue, the few times I've had to ask people have been more than happy to let me at the stones.

Thanks for the encouraging responses

I feel like I have started a journey which has no end. I found the trip to the Peak District to be the most rewarding so far, particularly searching Stanton Moor for the lesser known cairns and circles and cannot wait to go back to the more Northernly Moors

Also planning a trip to Cumbria and see that in order to visit Gunnerkeld I absolutely must pay the farmer a visit first, although reports say he is very friendly.

The key thing that hits me is how a site feels either Alive or Dead. Some positively radiate history and purpose whilst others (to me) are completely dead and devoid of any feeling, just neutral. Haven't worked out what that is telling me yet!

Once again thanks
