Yeah, I always think of the Carlin Stone too http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/3811 near Backhill of Draclaw in Aberdeenshire http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/3815

Would like to get back there as the twice I've been it's been too dark for photos...! (But I doubt if I'll get the chance when we'e up in July - it'll be mainly the more impressive sites we'll be concentrating on, as J's not been before. I'll be in touch about the Perthshire leg at some stage!)

that does actually look as though it could be standing. another that's just come to mind is Clach Ossian http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/3800 which is an erratic but it was definitely significant "prehistorically" as it was used as a (possibly the largest ever!) cist cover and stands at the centre of a henge
