Lowther partk is a fair bit further south. Fitz do you have a reference for the one that you mention?

Depending on when the building within the "henge" were errected, the significance of the embankment could have been lost and it was see more as a fortified farmstead, which would explain why two henges are only ever shown.

Unfortunately on this trip my friend was feeling circled and henged-out so i didnt feel like I could force him on to look at the location of a possibly non-existent henge (especially not as it was his car that we were in anyway) but another time I will give it an inspection
