It was a rich area in the Early Bronze Age so the chances are there's more stuff waiting to be identified nearby. Just the concept of carrying all those cobbles in to make the henge is mindboggling. I'll be active in a deserted valley behind the first hills of the Grey Yauds and Carlatton Mill (destroyed) stone row in another month. I want to find an intact small stone circle! I've only found wrecked ones so far.
Time Twits is having a 'dig-in' at the end of June with each sample site being a one metre square somewhere. I have enjoyed watching Time team, in the past, and can't think of a reason not to take part ! These Cumbrian earthworks seem ideal candidates. Maybe I should excavate my boulder burial, at the Knar !
