Take the track out towards Fernacre farm (strangely not named on OS maps...even though it is one of the biggest farms on the moor!). You can only drive so far before a sign says private road. From there it is a walk in...open access..can't stop you.

Don't bother too much looking for Louden circle (on other side of track) very unimpressive...the long cairn is also nearby...north of track...bugger to find though!

Cheers Mr H - that would be the track south of Stannon, between Rough and Garrow Tors on the map (the one with the cross marked by Camperdown Fm)?

Yeah deffo need a meet-up again. Coming down on the 8th, not sure of plans yet, though I want Fernacre and also possibly a day on Dartmoor if the weather's good. My main problem is my back at the moment. More than a mile or two and I'm in agony. Hills and/or speed exacerbates the problem so I won't be going mad like on previous visits!
