I meant Ogham uses line as a base point - could the cracks represent something similar.

Has anyone tried to look for similarities in shape/form/size to see if there is an intersite relationship or are they random circular shapes???

See what you mean P , problems would be multiple base points at the same site , a gap of a couple of millenia , accepting the ducts etc as being representational .

The shapes are not necessarilly random but often the cracks/fissures dictate their size and shape which is rarely a true circle , good examples at Achnabreck have "rings "with straight sides dictated by the cracks .
