I think I've been there in most weather conditions, and I've taken quite a few newbies.
I once tackled it in August, with waist-high bracken. We got soaked. Also almost dropped down one of the badger holes!!
Always, always worth it.
And the view from Chatton to the Cheviot is yummy.
