More junk! It symbolises everything that's wrong in modern society, to me, and I wonder why nobody else is able to see that. The ancient Chinese are unsurpassed in their representation of the horse ( http://www.tate.org.uk/servlet/ViewWork?cgroupid=999999961&workid=4740 ).

Isn't that what art's supposed to be about, reflecting its own time? I know what efforts I do are to try and exorcise all the things I hate about Modern Life. I wish I could do beautiful landscapes and Nice things but it just doesn't inspire as much as the opposite.
Does art have to be pretty? surely not. And as for the angel of the north.. surely the whole point is that it reflects the industrial past of the region, it's not supposed to be some fluffy angel is it?
