Perhaps this is somethng to raise on Channel 4's Time Team forum and see how far the condemnation goes!

This does seem a very crass action and NT should be ashamed of themselves for accepting a donation to allow this to happen. I'm not an NT member but if I were...!

Yes I think The National Trust may loose more than £2,000 from pissed-off members... very wise.
