What happens in highly publicised solstice revelries at our national icon is uniquely sensitive and like no other situation, as I suspect you know and as I am now confident you will deny.
But you can't reasonably say that it's OK for Julian Cope to climb on a stone, then label anyone else who does so (at a uniquely sensitive event or otherwise) a "shit". It's entirely inconsistent. It's fair enough to hold the position that you think climbing on Stonehenge at the solstice should be discouraged because of the "uniquely sensitive" nature of the event and the monument, but that's not the same thing as labelling someone a "shit". As for looking down on them, well, that's how I feel about them.
All I'm suggesting is that you shouldn't leap to judge people simply because they don't share or understand your values.
