Marden (maybe from the top of the mound) to Picked Hill sounds pretty convincing to me - you'd imagine you could have see one from the other. Well I can imagine it in my overactive little mind, at least hehe. I do like things I can actually see. But you saying that about Stonehenge being due south.. it really is isn't it. I can see why people get into all sorts of Theories.

I only mentioned them as odd bits of info , seeing as there was a previous mention of the hill and possible solar stuff , certainly no theory and if anything, to point out that there are lots of similar things if you look .The Stonehenge direction is not 100% as I only used the 6 figure grid ref but it looks close but also meaningless IMHO .
