This week saw the closure of the Visitor
Information Point as the interpretation officers
have other commitments within English
Heritage. We would like to thank them for all
their hard work over the last 16 weeks.
Indeed, they've been a 'mine' (sorry!) of information whilst there.

I have to question though:
a) what is more important than the Hill at the moment?
b) what is more important than keeping the public who ultimately pay their wages (through taxation), informaed at to what's going on?

The cynic/conspiritalist in me suggests that maybe they were being too helpful, and have paid the price for some sort of 'information crime' ?

Did you ever consider that the center was only due to be there until the end of August and that the girls running it had others jobs to go to?
Keeping it open and hiring extra people to train up and staff the site would have been a waste of money that is better spent on the hill itself...
