EH said at the forum in Sept they'd be publishing details on the website. They haven't. Big surprise not.
Instead they did so in British Archaeology mag edited by Mike Pitts and he's now summarised it in WDP.
You might ask why the details were first published as an exclusive in a limited edition magazine just before the Xmas holiday (and 2 days before the end of the three month "consultation period for people to submit opinions" which ended on Xmas day. (Did YOU catch the post in time??)
You might speculate that it was because this was the very first time they came clean about the fact that the hill has staggeringly severe structural problems and huge looses are now inevitable whichever repair option is chosen. (You know, the ones some uninformed rabble rousing Heritage scallywags have been saying existed and they've been utterly denying).
It's a complete and utter scandal and they should hang their heads in shame, not keep spinning. What a way to earn a salary.
