For those of you who have been and visited,you were lucky.

It's gone.

Local scumbags have burnt it to the ground.
A whole summers hard work has gone forever.

This place means alot to me and my children because we were very proud to be part of it and take pride in the fact we helped to build it for others to enjoy for years to come.Only 2 years as it turned out.

I know the Round House doesn't really have a place in the MA section,so that's why I've just poped it in here rather than putting it in the gazzetter.
I know some of you were interested.

That is so, so sad; it was a beautiful place. The wall paintings, in their soft natural colours, and the half-hidden carvings on the posts and beams offered a glimpse into the past.

Doubt if they'll build another one. Something that could have inspired and informed now gone...

That is a real shame. I would feel really cross if I'd helped build it like you did. Idiots.
If you've got any photos of it in its pristine state you should post them up, I'm sure it's very suitable TMA material, surely? All part of the ongoing history of the site - and a very relevant bit as well, being a recreation of the type of building that was once there.

a disgraceful mindless act of vandalism!! i am very angry that this has happened all of your hard work and time that you put into recreating the roundhouse and this happens, as they say over the tannoy at the rail station 'this is swindon' i feel a place that no longer shows any love and respect for its surroundings of natural beauty and sacred places. sorry to be so pessemistic but i really feel strongly.
