theres usualy only around 20 or so people that turn up in December.
There are plans for a possible park and ride scheme next summer solstice.

Another note is that the Cove stones are to be set in concrete next March and the ugly fence removed at last!

dunno about you but if I was going to celebrate a solstice I'd make it the winter one - pleased to see the turn of these awful dark evenings.

still, it might be raining. and the icecream van probably won't be there. My flappy druidic dressing-gown might get muddy. etc.

Good news about the Cove. They are among Avebury's most impressive stones, but that fence definitely 'stonehenges' them
