Shapes on Avebury Stones

On Sunday I was taking pictures in Avebury for my Love Landscape series of photographs. On the stone numbered 34 on my map is a heart shape. Does anyone know if it is a natural shape or if it was a result of graffiti at some point?

Hello,

If you're talking about the stone I think you're talking about they are probably the fossilised remains of a root system. Is the outline made of a series of small holes?
One day I'll scan my Uni dissertation and put it online somewhere. I tried to study/explain why sarsens are so shaped...
