Hi :0) I have been to a few pagan celebrations at Avebury in the past and there were never any problems, in fact I am sure we brought much revenue into the area, especially as the pub gets well used as you can imagine :0)

The last time I went, was Samhain in 2004, and there weren't any problems as far as I know, and we were very welcome to use the carpark by the so-called powers that be. Mind you I haven't been for about 2 years as I now live in Cumbria (which is steeped in its own ancient history which I know frequent at Sabbats, as Long Meg is only a few miles from where I dwell) but I wouldn't hesitate going back to Avebury if the occassion arose. At the end of the day, it is about respect for the land and the ancient site, as long as folk do that then our rites to our hertage should remain in my opinion :0)

Love and light
