The paper also has a comment from the editor and a side box which states that pagans groups are planning 61 events in 2007 with such bizzare things as moon zenith and waning moon ceremonies which are obviously made up observances by a neo-druid and a neo-pagan who have moved into Avebury in recent years.
The last 'Ceremony' I went to I was constantly offered E's, Skunk, Ketamine or Cocaine, none of which I wanted.
IMHO Avebury has become a soft spot for what used to be the New Age Travellers and the Brew Crew to
come and take drugs without police hassle for the weekend.
The so called 'Warband' drug dealer is currently in court facing charges

You might be able to use the strapline 'white monks on dope' - somewhere. There was a sting outside the Italian parliament recently and MP's had their foreheads wiped before going before a TV camera - later the swabs were analysed and 30% showed positive for dope or coke. Living very near to St James Park has a similar downside - without the camper vans - and I would wish they were out of their heads on something other than booze and testosterone.
