Definately of its time.
I was saying "it looks very 30s" before I saw when it had been created (doh!). Sort of looks like a book plate/print, with not too many colours 'cos publisher can't afford it!

I don't like it much, its too wrong for me also.
I'd probably like it better if I didn't know the landscape.
There is an Underhill Latern slide that is similar with a ploughed field but the stones are fallen.
