if u use the red lion and eat in the restaurant try this little amusing game.......see how many bottles of vineger you have to look into until you find a bottle WITHOUT dead flys in..the current record is 5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!..disgusting

The Red Lion is a bt of a joke when it comes to accomodation and, erm, flies in vinegar.
But it is the only pub inside a stone circle, and a few weeks ago at Lammas, I sat outside with all the 'pagans' (they used to be called crusties) singing 'Hoof And Horn' and there's nowhere in the world I'd rather have been.
Wish I was there now!

When was this? You should have come up and said something.
So many people have complaints about the pub, but never seem to tell the staff, or let me or one of the other duty managers know to give us a chance to put right anything that you may be unhappy with.
I love working in the pub, and am happy to defend it; or make sure you have no complaints when you visit.

What a liar. I too am an assistant manager at the Red Lion, and i'll tell you first hand, we dont keep insects of any kind in the vinegar ! In fact I find it hard to believe, that a fly could manage to squeeze it's way down the nozzle, or uncork the heavy glass stopper without the help of a human friend.
And i gotta say, if I saw someone doing that they would be wearing the vinegar.
When exactly did this happen, because it wasn't in the last 12 months ,since Scousemaiden and I have worked there .
