new stones found

Kammer, I notice NT say in the article:
they are 'considering using ground probing radar to create three dimensional images of each of the buried stones and raise them as computer images'

coo three d images actually in situ. sounds amazing. Stops people climbing on them.

or is it just in a computer (boo)

Colin Snell geofizzed the Kennet ave in the field after Keillers reconstructed stones and made a 3d model of one of the stones.
It looked pretty good at the lecture he gave in Devizes but the
3d model is not available to plebs.
Just like the Silbury 3d model.
Also, AC Smith first discovered the buried stones in the outer ring of Avebury ages ago. He used metal poles not a shiny, expensive gefizzing machine.. Oooooh!

Holographic stones would be nice. Not sure how that would work, but it would be rather nifty.

Just think of the reconstructions you could create with 3D holograms, all without harming the archaeology in any way (except digging holes and foundations for the fancy laser equipment etc). I think we've invented Archeo-Sci-Fi.

Mike Pitts was on local TV tonight saying how it would great to leave them buried as it adds to the air of mystery at Avebury.
So thats a No to them being picked up then.

Overheard today from the sloanes:

"What's a megalith? Does anyone know what a megalith is?"

"A what?"

"mega - lith"

"Why?"

"Apparantly there are some at Avebury"
