Mike Pitts was on local TV tonight saying how it would great to leave them buried as it adds to the air of mystery at Avebury.
So thats a No to them being picked up then.

I've always been under the impression that it's official National Trust policy to preserve Avebury 'as is' and not alter what remains in any way.
