re: bolton talent - they had a whole fred dibnah day on uk history yesterday - including fred pontificating about avebury - absolutely excruciating but funny - especially from someone who took great pride (and filthy lucre) in demolishing some of the most wonderful masonry structures!

There was a South Bank show on Ian McKellen and I watched and recognised a lot of 'Bolton lifestyle'. He just says 'south lancashire'.

I'd suggest that Boltonians change the last word of their stage names to 'druid'. So you'd have Sara druid, Fred druid, Vernon druid, Badly drawn druid, Tommy druid and Ian Mcdruid.

The big stuff's in Northumberland though ! I'm working on altering remote baby alarms to walkie-talkies. Have to spray them matt black - rather than baby blue and powder pink. Even though I was trying to watch the northernmost moonrise from Thurstones I should have been on Counting Hill.
