zerkalo, i could meet you and show you some of the other stuff in the area if you like.
The walk taking in the circle, cave, long cist, standing stone, head stones and it's nearby standing stone is around 3 miles and takes about 2-3 hours.
I'll check this again tomorrow about 11 am- ish, leave me a reply with the time your gonna be there and i'll meet you in the car park if you'd like a (free) guide.
Apologies only just picked up this post but got your directions the other night, they were spot on and we'd only just missed the circle the previous attempt. We went up last night just before sunset and found the circle and menhir, beautiful spot! It looks so different from the earlier pictures on here before the heather was burned back. I'm looking forward to getting more pictures of the circle when the heather has started to return but isn't obscuring the stones as I noticed a few months how bonny the hills approaching the Head stone from Rivelin were looking with a new growth of heather after being burnt back a couple of years ago. Funny you mention the Headstone as I was thinking only this morning that a walk to it from the Wyming Car Park then back to the car park via Redmires once taking in the Headstone would make for nice walk. Cheers for the offer of a guide though, very kind of you :)
