That old Gundrestrop Cauldron. Cernunos eh. We probably know that its cernunos because it depicts a classic Cernunoss legend, or that we definately know that Cernunos was the horned god with antlers.

Or is it just a good image of a god with horns and Cernunos is the only god we know of that had horns and that's cos of his/her pretty obvious name.

Isn't the Gundestrup effigy startlingly similar to Pashupati from the Indus region?

Deja vu in many ways, I'm sure we discussed this at length here way back. I am bordering on obsessive about Pansexual thangs. If you go down to the woods today...

Scoff you may! actually there is only one"written" "ernunnos" found on a relief in Paris, above a representation of an antlered god (Anne Ross) but if we all become too dry and practical, all the old stories will be lost.. therefore;

Lord of the Animals; taken from a story in the Mabinogion (Lady of the Fountain).
....A man was sitting on top of the mound.. and the iron club in which the man said was the full load of two men... and I greeted the man, but he spoke nothing to me save incivility.And I asked him what power he had over the animals. "I will show thee, little man" said he And he took the club in his hand, and with it struck a stage a mighty blow till it gave out a mighty bellling, and in answer to its belling wild animals came till they were as numerous as the stars in the firmament, so that there was scant room for me to stand in the clearing with them and all those serpents and lions and vipers and all kind of animals. And he looked on them and bade them no graze. And, then they bowed down their heads and did him obeisance, even as humble subjects would do to their lord..

and on the subject of animals, does any know if it is true, that the Roman griffin on their banners, is the forerunner of the dragon at a later date?

Pardon mai hignorance, but is the Gundestrup Cauldron in Copenhagen? 'Cos I saw a cauldron with a Cerunnos type figure, alongside a rather fine repro of a golden horn. The (golden) horn had a figure with (animal) horns, but they didn't look like deer, goat nor ram horns (at least of no kind I've seen). Is it another version of Cerunnos, or someone else?
