It's a very sad situation when one cannot laugh at oneself or anyone else. How offended you must get when Little Britain's on TV, or indeed just about any comedy.I can see both sides of this argument, but I do think a little extra caution might be helpful when cracking this kinda joke. Even if that just means putting "only kidding!" in brackets, to make it clear that it's not a serious prejudice that's being expressed. If people don't know you, the written word makes it difficult to interpret the tone and intent behind a joke. Doesn't hurt to err on the side of diplomacy.
