Skara Brae poem

close

In the visitor's center at Skara Brae there is a poem by George Mackay Brown on the wall. I loved it, and nearly took a photo, but though 'naaah, I'll easy find it on the 'net'.
And I can't!!
It speaks about "the lords of the Loch are quarrying to build a big circle" and "will the fishing be good?". It also mentions Maes Howe (I think) saying "A great one died". It's a fantastic poem written from the viewpoint of someone who lived in Skara Brae.
I'd love to have a copy if any-one here knows it, or can point me in the right direction.
Cheers!

"the city of the vanished race, lying dark and silent in that place"

There's another line from it. Come on, we'll have it all in a mo :-)

I couldn't find it either, but I did find this...
