By the way, changing the thread a bit. . At Callanish, if you stand by the main site, you can just about see the other three circles. So, technically speaking, if you count Callanish itself as a stone circle, you can see FOUR seperate stone circles from one standpoint. I don't think there is anywhere else you can do this is there? Not even in Ireland?

At Beaghmore there are seven in one field. Does that count?

Can't remember how intervisible the Machrie Moor circles are.

If you count Na Dromannan (Callanish X) there are five known circles visible from Calanais (Callanish I).

Of course there would originally have been a lot of other sites visible, such as Margaret's Cairn at Olcote and at least one solitary standing stone (probably more).
