Moving Mountains

close

I know we're all familiar with the folklore of stones which move at night to take refreshment, but the Kealkil stones (Cork, Ireland) have apparently transported themselves across the Irish Sea to Wales!
Check out the two photos on the left hand side of the MA Kealkil webpage - Wales has obviously claimed both the stones, and the accompanying mountains, as their own........
Can someone please clarify? Having never visited the site, I need your help in getting an accurate fix before I end up getting horribly lost!

Which country has the rightful claim to these beauties?

Must be Irish because Kealkil does not appear in the RCAMHW database ( unless there is a variant spelling ? )

The Modern Antiquarian - Julian Cope - Shaman - Moving Mountains.

Spooky!

Had to chuckle at this, found it while searching old posts.

My copyright icon obviously isn't big enough (and I didn't use the @ for my email address either). To clarify: the photographer is from Wales, the stones were definitely in Co. Cork, SW Ireland when I took those two photos in September 2000.
