Hey Scubes, how's it going?
My preferred route is to take the road past Round Pound to Batworthy Farm. You can park at the end of the road opposite the little bridge. Following the farm wall just west of south you get to Batworthy corner, then turn northwest across Shovel Down. Across the pretty clapper bridge at the bottom and then on up to Scorhill. It's about a mile to the circle from where you've parked, a longer walk than from the Scorhill Farm side but well worth it. There's an extraordinary amount of worked stone scattered across Shovel Down and some stone rows. It's also been inhabited since the mesolithic, so nicely evocative with your pork pie and packet of crisps.
