Bit puzzeld by this one Phil...the grid Ref puts it in the middle of a field...not the sort of place to find clitter. i take it you are not sure if it exists anymore. Where did you find the ref to it? There are two Bowda's in North Hill parish.
Also do you have any references to anything ancient at Stonsford Stones plantation SX255779?

Also Phil...had any luck with the phot of Bury castle at cardinham?

English Heritage have it down at SX 2475 7755 but say rather than a stone circle it could be a group of earthfast boulders i.e. a natural feature.

I have highlighted the bit about the stone circle.

There is a mention of a site at Stonaford 25657830
It says there was once a barrow at this site but not sure if anything remains.
Do you know this area well?
