Hey up,

Can I just add to what Tim's said about Red Farm....Unless of course he asked at the farm for permission to enter the field that is....It looked pretty abandoned when I was there, barbed wire over the windows and stuff.

Anyways.....A coupla years ago I jumped the fence to get close to the circle. I Took a few pics and posted them along with fieldnotes here on the TMA....
Then the guy who owns the farm got to read about my fence jumping activities and freaked a little...saying I had trespassed and my notes encouraged others to trespass too....had to pull my fieldnotes in the end..

nice one
stu.

Surely you didn't jump the fence. That must have been a slip up on the keyboard. You just used a really good telephoto lense.

I have never had to jump the fence - just open the gate, and make sure it is shut behind you.

I added this to the field notes prior to posting last night:

Every time I have been here, there has never been anyone in at the farmhouse nearby, and usually both gates are padlocked. It is good to ask, but in my six or so trips here, I have never found anyone in. Furthermore, there is a big sign in one of the windows informing of the security of the building, so I reckon it is often empty for long periods. But by all means, try to ask.
