If you get to visit Druids Circle, and when passing the Red Farm Circle, don't pass it - take a look at the field; in particular further down the field, to the right hand side, there is a large mound of stones. It is unclear as to what exactly this is - field clearance? There is a good circular bank of stones beneath the surface, so I'm not entirely convinced it is just field clearance.

Red Farm - see the mound raised to the rear of the pic within the field:

Perhaps some of the stones from this circle have been cleared into this
pile?

Another possibility in my mind is it could be a heavily disturbed cairn,
having been the likes of this cairn

near Graig Lwyd? (also visit this, and the other cairns nearby; all
different and quite impressive.

Additionally, there is a good number cairn-like protrusions from the ground.
They are widespread, and perhaps indicate disturbed cairn material? Opinions
and discussion welcomed!

Baza & I had a good look here, but unfortunately did not take a GPS reading! But it is literally a minute's walk away.

Baza has dug around on CARN, and these two (to my mind) seem the best
possible matches at the moment:

Any comeback on these, now, or in the future is appreciated. I just love that mountain.

Hey up,

Can I just add to what Tim's said about Red Farm....Unless of course he asked at the farm for permission to enter the field that is....It looked pretty abandoned when I was there, barbed wire over the windows and stuff.

Anyways.....A coupla years ago I jumped the fence to get close to the circle. I Took a few pics and posted them along with fieldnotes here on the TMA....
Then the guy who owns the farm got to read about my fence jumping activities and freaked a little...saying I had trespassed and my notes encouraged others to trespass too....had to pull my fieldnotes in the end..

nice one
