I suppose that the best we can hope for is that it`s gently moved to the side, until the hole can be investigated before the concrete goes in.

Actually, I've just been told that it's been down (and known about) for a while, and Cornwall Archaeological Unit will be re-erecting it 'soonish'.

So hopefully it shouldn't be too long before it's up again...
