Sad to report that Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust have no record of any sanctioned work at the site, and that the digging around the stones (not to mention the spray-paint/campfire) is therefore a criminal offence as the site is scheduled.

The information has been passed on to the relevant Field Inspector.
