Can't say I have any wise comments to make. What do you think it is Ike?

Kammer,
Reminds me a little of the Wrynose stone, although that is in isolation. Still, similar to the photos on this forum post, it's a standing stone that provokes questions, and demands answers. I passed the Wrynose stone yesterday, on my way to The Burnmoor complex and eventually Scafell. The Wrynose stone was obvious, to the right hand side of the road as you drive up. It looked the business to me.
Cheers,
TE.

The site is within a copse just protruding into a large sloping field.

I reckon it's a livestock enclosure of somekind. However, the upright stone seems out of place.

Also, if it was field clearence the large stones would be towards the bottom of the field, these are at the top.

When you look out from the site down the field you can see field systems.

If anybody wants exact location details email me. Because you cant (sadly) delete or edit forum posts.

Regs,

Ike
