Elizabeth killed tens of thousands of Catholics if not a lot more. I don't think it was a term of endearment :-)

There haven't been many good English people as far as the Irish are concerned (or the rest of the world for that matter - and we're stilll trying our best to piss everyone off - yes, I'm a Brit living in Dublin).
