My commiserations to Earthstepper at his recent sad loss.

As a Brummie I can confirm that I've often been asked "Was/did your mother ..(fill in as appropriate)...when you were in the womb? I've never taken it as a sleight against my mother, simply because I always know that that was never intended. Of course, we do tend to become sensitive to such questions at devastating times.

I'd just like to say:

*I'm no one's sheep!* :o)

And, along with all but one or two hereabouts:

*I hate schisms within 'my' community!* :o(
